MERDEKA POOL COMPETITION 2005

Backyard Pub and Grill hosts the 2005 Merdeka Pool Competition to be held from Aug 22nd to Aug 31st.
Up for grabs are bottles of whisky and jugs of beer courtesy of the pub. Come and see our finest cueing maestros rack 'em up and put 'em balls away.
The competition this year is limited to 28 players, first come first served. Lights snacks will be provided F.O.C for all game days.
PRIZES
1st - One Bottle 12-year-old Scotch Whisky + Three Jugs of Beer + One Bottle of Sparkling Wine
2nd - One Bottle of Sahib (Pay RM40 for upgrade to 12-yr-old Scotch) + Two Jugs of Beer
3rd - Three Jugs of Beer
4th - Two Jugs of Beer
FORMAT:
ROUND 1:
22 August and 24 August 2005
- One-frame round robin
- Seven players per table
- Top three players of each table qualifies for final round
- In the event of a tie(s), players with the least number of balls remaining
(cumulatively) will qualify
FINAL ROUND:
31 August
1ST STAGE:
- One frame round robin
- Six players per table
- Least number of balls remaining rule applies
- Top two players from each table qualifies for semi finals
2ND STAGE:
- SEMI FINALS AND FINALS: Best of three frames.
RULES:
Players will have to put in OWN coins.
Umpires will be provided for ALL games.
Umpires decision shall be FINAL.
