MERDEKA POOL COMPETITION KICKS OFF

Backyard Pub and Grill
hosts the first Merdeka Pool Competition to be held between August 16 to 26.
Up for grabs are cash prizes worth RM500, two bottles of whisky and three jugs of
beer courtesy of the pub. Come and see our finest cueing maestros rack 'em up and
put 'em balls away.
Thirty-two players have signed up for the round-robin contest and the
1st round begins from Aug 16-19. See below for full list of pool sharks
and contest details.
PRIZES
1st - RM250.00 + 1 Bottle Black Label
2nd - RM150.00 + 1 Bottle White Label
3rd - RM100.00 + 2 Jugs Tiger Beer
4th - RM 50.00 + 1 Jug Tiger Beer
FORMAT: Three rounds. Best of 3 frames.
ROUND 1:
16 August - 19 August 2004
Max of 8 players per day i.e. 4 players per table
Top 2 from each table qualifies for Round 2
ROUND 2:
24 August for players who qualified on 16 August and 17 August 2004
25 August for players who qualified on 18 August and 19 August 2004
Top 2 from each table qualifies for Round 3 ( Final Round )
ROUND 3:
26 August 2004
7.15 pm : Draw for 2 groups
Top two from each table shall qualify for Semi Finals,
where the champion of each group shall meet the runner-up
of the other group.
RULES:
Games shall start 8 pm SHARP.
All three rounds to be played in Round Robin system.
Players will have to put in OWN coins.
Umpires will be provided for ALL games.
Umpires decision shall be FINAL.
