SOUNDS of the oldies, the 1960s traditional jazz standards, rock `n' roll, the blues and Country and Western, will liven the Backyard Pub and Restaurant tomorrow when Two Hats ... And A Horn take to the stage.

The trio, comprising keyboardist Allan Perera, guitarist Errol de Cruz and saxophonist Irwin Gideon, will be on hand to entertain patrons after 9.30pm. Formed early this year, the trio have several decades of experience to their credit in the live music scene.

Perera, famous for his role as one half of Comedy Court, was the founder of several top flight bands, including Faith and Made in Malaysia in the 1970s and 1980s, performing successful stints here and in Singapore.

The country music from this versatile trio comes from de Cruz who, for the better part of his music career, has been a soloist on the pub circuit and lead singer of Drifting Cowboys, a country music outfit.

Gideon has been playing with jazz groups since the early 1960s and adds his magic touch to Two Hats with his talent on saxophones and flute. For more information, call 03-62010318.
