Colin was introduced into a musical career in the early 1980's when he emerged the winner in a talent-time contest
in Ampang Park Complex singing 'Johnny Be Good'.
A nearly fatal motor-bike accident and with his leg plastered because of a broken hip-bone kept him at home for a
few months and made him take up a guitar given by his parents, to pass the time away.
Finding a great affinity for the guitar he quickly learnt the various chords and played and sang songs.
He had already been introduced to songs from the 30's, 40's, 50's, 60's and 70's during singing sessions at
parties in the family circles, when his father, a former musician, played the guitar and sang.
He gradually picked other types of music and found a passion for rock, R&B, blues and contemporary music.
