The Benchmarx are…
Eric 'Flea' Beck, bass, harmonica, high school economics teacher. Eric lays down the funky groove in the rhythm section, keeps the band sane and has been known to have really cool facial hair.
Bill 'Monster' Madden, guitar, high school chemistry teacher. Bill funks it up on his sweet six string. Ask him about any obscure music from the UK and he'll scream out some lyrics.
Steve 'The Buzz' Northcott, guitar, vocals, megaphone, middle school art teacher. Steve brings a little rap, soul and comedy to the group. He's been caught improvising lyrics to songs that might make some audience members blush.
Erik 'The Director' Richardson, drums, high school athletic director. Erik brings the long hair, rock attitude and versatility of being a singer, drummer and keyboard player. He can even organize a soccer tournament for you if need be!
Kenny 'Joy Donut' Peavy, vocals, guitar, megaphone, middle school science teacher. Kenny belts out some soulful vocals and political slogans while proving once again that white men can't dance.

The Benchmarx evolved from a few guys goofing around in a studio to the rock giants that they are today. They play an eclectic set of music from the 80's and 90's and tackle some songs that many bands are either too afraid or ashamed to attempt.
Since their debut in their principal's backyard they've taken the local music scene by storm!. If you like to party, dance, get a little crazy or have a good time then you won't want to miss their shows.
Catch them at Backyard on Thursday, Nov 10th.
